Maple Apple Crisp made with apples, Barred Woods maple cider syrup, and Barred Woods maple sugar.

Ingredients
- 6-8 Apples ( I like to use a combination of 2-3 varieties like Golden Delicious and Granny Smith)
- 3 Tbsp Barred Woods Maple Cider Syrup
- 1.5 tsp ground Cinnamon, divided
- 2 tsp Lemon juice
- 2/3 Cup Barred Woods Cider Syrup
- ⅓ Cup Barred Woods Maple Sugar
- ¾ Cup Flour
- ¾ Cup Old Fashioned Oats
- ¼ tsp Salt
- ½ Cup Unsalted Butter, cut into small cubes or grated
Directions
Preheat Oven to 350 deg F.
Spray 8”x8” baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.
In a large mixing bowl, combine apples, 3Tbsp maple cider syrup, lemon juice, and ½ tsp cinnamon.
Spread the mixture evenly into the baking pan.
In another bowl, combine the maple sugar, oats, flour, salt, and the remaining 1 tsp of cinnamon.
Add ⅓ cup maple cider syrup and the butter. Use your hand, a pastry cutter or 2 forks to work the mixture into the dry ingredients until it is crumbly.
Sprinkle the topping over the apples
Bake for 40-50 minutes, or until the topping is golden and the juices are bubbling.
Remove from oven and let col for a few minutes. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream if desired
